Theme: Travellers on the Brenner route
Tip: A refreshment in a traditional restaurant
The taverns in Wipptal on the route heading south have always been popular resting places and most Italian travellers have always chosen this route: the emperor on the way to coronation, authors on the trail of antiquity or merchants on the way to Venice enjoyed the Brenner snack breaks, invigorated themselves in the traditional "Stuben" parlour rooms and warmed themselves up by the homely tiled stoves.
